The mouse wheel scrolling only works when Desktop Ticker is the active window

In versions of Windows earlier than Windows 10, the mouse wheel scroll messages are only sent to the active window. In Windows 10 the messages are sent to the window under the cursor. More information here.

 

How can I make Desktop Ticker start automatically?

With a few simple steps, you can set Desktop Ticker to start automatically when you log into Windows.

How can I see my Facebook notifications in the ticker?

Facebook provides an RSS feed of your notifications. On your notifications page (www.facebook.com/notifications) there is an RSS link. Copy the URL and add it to Desktop Ticker in the Manage Feeds window.

How can I see my Gmail messages in the ticker?

Add the URL https://mail.google.com/mail/feed/atom in the Manage Feeds window. Your username and password will be requested the first time the feed is loaded.

 

Desktop Ticker installed junk on my computer!

The Dow Jones Industrial Average stock symbol doesn't work (DJI)

This symbol is blocked by Yahoo. Try using ^DJX instead.
